Privacy policy

What personal information we collect through thurlowmarketing.com, the Obvious Choice Audit, our booking and payment tools, and our social and email channels, and how we use it.

Version 2026-10-15 · Effective October 15, 2026

01What we collect

Thurlow Marketing Group ("Thurlow", "we") is based in Toronto, Ontario. We collect:

  • Obvious Choice Audit. Your answers, your business name if you give it, your email, and your results.
  • Get started questions. Your name, email, business, website and your answers about your offer, revenue range, client value, evidence and timing, which we use to assess fit for the Sprint.
  • Bookings. Your name, email, time zone and the time you book, through Calendly.
  • Payments. Your name, business name, email, phone number and billing details, through Stripe. Stripe handles your card details; we never see or store your full card number.
  • Sprint intake form. Your business details, your priority offer and buyer, and the buyer evidence you choose to share, which can include sales call recordings or notes, reviews, customer emails and lost-deal notes.
  • Newsletter and email. Your email address and your subscription choices, through Substack and Kit.
  • Website and ad data. Pages you visit, the device and browser you use, and how you arrived (for example, an ad, a link or another website), through a small script on our own site and the Meta pixel. Our script remembers how you first arrived in your browser's storage and includes it when you send us a form.
  • Messages. What you send us by email, social media or direct message.

02Why we use it

  • To deliver your Audit result, assess fit for the Sprint, answer your questions and run the Sprint.
  • To take payment and send receipts.
  • To send you marketing email, only with your consent. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
  • To understand how the website and our posts perform, and to measure and target our advertising.
  • To meet legal and tax obligations.

We ask for your consent when we collect information, and you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us. Withdrawing consent may mean we can't provide some services.

03Buyer evidence from Sprint clients

If you share evidence that includes information about your own buyers, you confirm you have the right to share it. We use it only to deliver your Sprint and delete it on your written request after the Sprint, as the Sprint Terms describe. We may use AI tools to help draft Sprint documents from it, and a person reviews everything before it reaches you.

04Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it with service providers that help us run the business:

  • Stripe for payments.
  • Calendly for bookings.
  • Substack and Kit for email.
  • Google Workspace for forms, documents and storage.
  • Notion for client project notes and our internal workspace.
  • ChatGPT Sites (OpenAI) and Cloudflare to host our website and run the Audit.
  • Google Fonts to display our website's typefaces.
  • Video hosts, such as Vimeo, YouTube and Kajabi, to play our videos on our website and in client material.
  • Meta for advertising and the Meta pixel.
  • AI service providers that help us draft Sprint documents.
  • The community platform that hosts the Obvious Choice Lab, for Sprint clients.

Each handles information under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

05Where it's stored

Some of these providers store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it can be accessed under local laws.

06Cookies and advertising

Our website uses cookies, browser storage and the Meta pixel to measure visits, remember how you arrived and where you are in a form or your Sprint setup, and show our ads to people who have visited. When you play an embedded video, the video host may set its own cookies and collect information about your device and viewing. You can clear or block these in your browser and manage ad preferences in your Meta account settings.

07How long we keep it

We keep Audit and marketing information while you remain subscribed or until you ask us to delete it. We keep Sprint and payment records for six years after the end of the tax year they relate to, to meet tax and legal requirements. We then delete or anonymize them.

08Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

09Children

Our services are for business owners. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

10Changes

We may update this policy. The version and effective date at the top show when it last changed.
